GONG: New Cyber Security Practice secures an agreement with global FinTech company

Our Global Cyber Security Practice acquired the relationship – congratulations!

This first project focuses on scoping and determining the feasibility for the client to progress to an American Institute or CPA’s (AICPA) Service Organisation Control 2 (SOC2) Report relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity or Privacy. SOC2 reports are intended to meet a broad range of users who need detailed information and assurance about controls, such as those of sophisticated financial institutions and to support governance and compliance needs.

This first assignment would ideally lead to additional assessment and remediation activities and potentially to other operational risk and strategic projects for ICG. Conversations have progressed with the Melbourne HUB Financial Services Leader to understand the broader COO and CEO agenda and determine additional opportunities for assistance.

The client especially values the expertise and hands on practical experience of the the senior ICG professionals that are working on the assignment.  They chose to have the work done as an ICG branded assignment vs the Accredited Professional’s brand to broaden the relationship and bring the entire ICG capability into play.

The new Cyber Security Practice has been recently created with the addition of new professionals who have key “Big 4” experience in governance, management and transformation of cyber security in financial services and other critical infrastructure industries. Under the guidance of Michael Trovato, ICG’s Global Cyber Security practice is being created to take advantage of the broadening skills in ICG and the increasing focus on Cyber Security, IT Risk, and Compliance activities across the market.
