The main objective of this assignment supports the establishment of a National Animal Identification and Traceability System in Georgia, which is currently fully operational and used by the NAITS stakeholders.
The review aims at review and recommendations for improvement of the NAITS, namely:
1. Review of NAITS software in terms of ISO/IEC 25010:2011 Software Quality Model minimum including:
– Performance/Efficiency of the application, source code, architecture and components
– Functionality, completeness and usability
– Maintainability and development potential such as scalability
– Technical documentation and security setup,
– Current and future capacity and document management and reporting
2. Provide recommendations for the NAITS software for:
– Improvements and fixes (software and hardware)
– Content enhancement and additional features needed for continuous improvement
3. Assess the NAITS software and provide comparison analysis in terms of standard IT requirements for Animal Information Systems typically used by EU member countries, competitor solutions and overall fitness for purpose.
4. Elaborate Technical specifications for development of the recommended improvements and software modules as requested by FAO.
IT Consultant
Following minimum requirements:
- Advanced university degree in Information Technology
- 10 years of relevant experience in Animal Information Systems;
- At least five years’ experience in data management, analysis and reporting;
- At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle and implementation of enterprise grade web applications (Java or C#,Javascript);
- Extensive knowledge of IT, application software and operating system
- Strong diagnosis and trouble-shooting skills;
