In its short history, ICG has successfully delivered projects in over 25 countries across four continents. The model has gone from strength to strength because it offers customers total control, provides consultants with an average of ten years more wisdom and delivers value the traditional pyramid-based firms can’t match. As the world is not only flat, but now powered by AI, unbundled contract consulting is a better answer for most consulting projects.
In January this year, ICG Colombia opened for business. Led by Diego Tovar, the Former Partner of Deloitte in charge of the consulting business in Spanish Latin America, the Hub will initially meet demand from Bogota-based clients before expanding to other cities and other countries across Latin America.
Diego Tovar CEO ICG Latin America: “I chose the ICG model for my clients because of its inherent flexibility, focused expertise, and value. There are more well-trained, expert ex-consultants than there are working as employees at firms today. We just needed a way to find the right consultants for any assignment from the world’s fastest-growing pool of curated experts. ICG has a patented process for matching and a robust, fair transparent business model that works for all parties. My partners and I are delighted to bring ICG to Latin America, and export creative ideas, great value expertise, and proven benchmarks and methodologies to ICG consultants and their clients globally.”
David Moloney, CEO ICG: We are delighted to support Diego and his partners to bring the power of the ICG model to Latin America. We also welcome embracing and deploying the world-class management science, innovation and disruption that has always come from Latin America, from Semco to Nubank. We have supported local, regional and global clients as far away as Stockholm, Toronto, Tokyo, and Mexico, so with a HUB in Bogota, we can now empower Latin America, consultants and Latin America, clients to benefit from the 21st century consulting platform that is ICG.”
ICG is now the only Australian-headquartered firm rated by Forbes and Staista in the global top 200 firms for both 2024 and 2025. We provide expert fit-for-purpose solutions to clients around the globe from our platform of over 5,000 consultants.

The Sydney-based firm is betting on Colombia as a platform to serve the region and challenge the traditional pyramid structure of the global consulting industry. In the medium term, the ambition is to build a regional network of up to 500 consultants operating under this platform.
When Diego Tovar decided to try to look beyond the traditional consulting networks he had worked with for more than two decades, he was looking for something fundamentally different.
Having founded his own boutique firm, Flipit; he was ex CEO Deloitte’s consulting business in Latin America and having served as president of Everis in Colombia before its acquisition by NTT Data, he was increasingly convinced that the dominant industry model was showing signs of exhaustion.
“It was chaotic trying to sell the different capabilities,” Tovar recalls about his experience outside of the big global firms. “Having a business card from a Big Four firm is very different from having one from a boutique.”
What caught his attention, he explains, was a strategic management model that proposed transformation in a very different way from traditional methodologies, and which was beginning to gain recognition in markets such as Australia and Canada.
That search led him, via LinkedIn, to David Moloney, CEO of ICG, a Sydney-based consulting firm included by Forbes among the best management consultancies in the world.
