A long-standing Financial Services client brought ICG an interesting brief: they requested ‘lite-touch’ support for an upcoming leadership team Offsite, focusing on incremental insights that could stretch a very capable team’s deep understanding of the market and trends around Insurance. The client specifically requested a future-back approach to future-proof the business and best position it for growth.
ICG assembled a high-impact skeleton crew that collaborated directly with the client over the span of three weeks, expertly delivering a Trend-driven strategy through a rigorous and streamlined proprietary process. The team, led by David Moloney (supported by Emilia Díaz) worked with client leadership to produce a trend inventory, distilled into lists of obvious and less obvious trends affecting the client. Over a two-day Offsite workshop, the team guided the client through trend briefings, likely implications, potential strategic choices for each, and finally actionable pieces of homework to guide the client through its strategy formulation.
The result was a highly engaged and motivated client with a solid, future-proof Strategy, aligned to their changing market context.
