Consultant Gig #966–Sydney & Auckland–Financial Services–Project Scheduler

The successful accredited professional will report to the overall program manager and be accountable for developing, maintaining and reporting on progress on high level milestone plans and supporting detailed project schedules across multiple project delivery workstreams. This is a hands-on role, that requires an ability to understand and construct complex schedules for managing the program execution, interdependencies, commercial obligations, as well as a consolidated master transition plan.  Will be responsible for working with each of the streams to define and manage the project schedules and generate the reporting outputs for governance reporting purposes.

Project Scheduler:

The successful professional will have deep experience in project scheduling and an ability to manage exports and analysis of scheduling data in Microsoft Excel. They will have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing project schedules across complex programs. Support a multi-stream project team, working with dedicated stream business and delivery leads.

Key Deliverables:

  • High-level milestone plans for each workstream
  • Detailed delivery schedules for each workstream
  • Rolled up schedules into master transition plan
  • Regular reporting on progress on each of the workstreams and impacts of any delivery variations on the overall program delivery timelines
Skills and experience required:
  • Significant experience (5+ years) as a project scheduler across a variety of projects
  • Development of comprehensive project schedules detailing tasks, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Use of Microsoft Project to develop and update project schedules.
  • Familiarity with the running of MS Project macros to deliver program delivery reports.
  • Familiarity with MS Visio and other MS Office tools to support the communication of progress reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather necessary information for schedule development.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular schedule review meetings to assess progress and address any issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Logistics:

Start date: Starting Immediately Duration The roles finish in February 2025 with the possibility of an extension

Location:  Sydney (Strong Preference) working with Sydney and Auckland-based teams

Rates: The daily net rate to the consultant will be $900-$950 NZD or AUD depending on location + GST where applicable
