Consultant Gig #979–Saudi Arabia Petrochemical subject matter expert for technoeconomic analyses

Below is the brief of the two projects:

  • Establishment of a solvent plant for processing heavy aromatics C9+
  • Feasibility study for starting and Manufacturing unit of Carbon Steel Plant

 

Petrochemical subject matter expert (SME) with a Chemical Engineering background. 

The expert should possess extensive experience in project development and specifically in conducting technoeconomic analyses for the expansion of existing petrochemical refineries. Solid understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, value generation and variance analysis will be a plus.

 

The expansion project will involve the addition of a Mixed Feed Cracker (MFC) and an Ethane Cracker, along with their associated derivatives and utilities.

Our scope of services will include deployment of a seasoned financial modeler (onsite) who will handle all financial modeling aspects. 

However, we also need the SME (onsite at Aramco’s office for at least 2 months) to review and ensure that the technical and commercial assumptions provided by Aramco technical team are reasonable and align with industry standards. The SME should also be capable of challenging any assumptions that may not meet industry standards.

 

Both the financial modeler and the SME will collaborate to support Aramco in running the technoeconomic analysis for the expansion project.

Logistics:

Start: Starting Immediately,

Duration: 

  • 6 months secondment onsite
  • 2 months onsite and 4 month offsite full time support
  • 2 months on site and 4 months as and when bases on hourly rate
  • Please also share hourly rate for as and when bases option

Location: Saudi Arabia If on-site all boarding and lodging will be taken care by client


Rates:The budget please note that the Client is price sensitive so we do expect the quotes to be optimized. The hourly rate with Aramco is in the range of US$150 per hour so 8 hour day would mean USD$1,200 per day.
