Consultant Gig #955–Brisbane–Banking–General Insurance–Risk Management Professionals

The client is seeking experienced risk professionals (8-15 years experience) or consultants with general insurance (preferred) or financial services risk management experience.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is currently consulting, or in a permanent risk role and is open to moving into a permanent role after an initial 6 months consulting experience. Must be located in Brisbane to be considered.

Reporting to the General Manager Risk-Second Line:

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the second-line risk function, supporting the General Manager Risk
  • Undertake risk activities and tasks as directed by the GM Risk which center around BAU risk activities; Risk assessment and profiling, implementing and oversight risk management framework in the business lines, Incidents, and issues risk activities, risk, controls, and compliance management, risk reporting and assurance
  • Other areas to be addressed may include; developing policy governance, enhancing ICAAP, Uplifting the BCP, and CPS compliance

 

Skills and experience required:
  • 8-15 years of risk management experience in a general insurance financials services risk management role or consulting capacity
  • Risk assessment and risk management reporting
  • Operational risk and resilience
  • Self-starter, problem solver –someone who will be productive quickly, get the outputs delivered on time, and show initiative in asking probing questions.
  • Able to work as part of a growing team with initiative and toward common goals and responsibilities
Logistics:

Start: Immediate, 15 April 2024 start Duration: 6 months+ and one to a permanent appointment 

Location: Brisbane. 

Rates: The daily rate to the consultant will be between $1,200-1,500 per day paid plus GST to the right professional.
