This role involves the transformation of a finance function which includes:
- Engaging with the finance stream, technology, bank business and other stakeholders to produce a workplan that maps key milestones and activities to completion date
- Engaging with the client and other stakeholders on a regular basis (weekly/fortnightly) to understand the status of each milestone and key emerging risks
- Reporting to the relevant finance lead and the broader program manager role
The roles that our clients are in conversation about are include:
- To build and drive the delivery of the finance stream’s planned and agreed milestones which includes working with stakeholders to articulate and define the activities to achieve these milestones
- Managing stakeholders to prepare the relevant paperwork, ensuring scope is articulated and agreed within the parties’ expected program timeframes
- Assist to define and manage risks
- Manage and facilitate workshops with relevant stakeholders that meet agenda requirements and progress required outcomes
- Prepare and manage meeting agendas, minutes and actions; monitor the registers including all actions, key decisions, dependencies and risks
- Foster and manage key relationships with stakeholders across all relevant channels
- Provide ongoing status reports to stakeholders
- Plan and drive the operationalisation of banking services processes into the relevant group
- Assist in the identification and communication of change management impacts
- Comply with relevant codes of conduct and behaviour protocols
Skills and experience required:
- Strong background in finance, including relevant consulting work experience
- Project management skills – delivery excellence ensuring projects are on schedule, managed in a practicable and optimal way with efficient use of resources whilst ensuring adherence with the relevant governance framework
- Strong leadership skills – proven ability to lead and manage a team to achieve individual, team and divisional goals to achieve the optimal performance
- Coaching, mentoring and development skills – ability to identify development needs of members and tailor training activities to achieve successful outcomes and to build technical knowledge and expertise
- Stakeholder relationship skills – effective collaboration and engagement management with all relevant stakeholders both internal and external
- Minimum 5 years project management experience across a diverse range of business functions and processes
- University degree or other professional qualification is desired plus 2+ years in a leading consulting firm
- Prince2, PMBOK, Agile or equivalent is desired
Start: Immediate, Duration 6 months+
Rates: The daily rate to the consultant will be based on experience for the right professional, final client negotiations and is expected to be approximately $1,400 + GST.
APT’s must be lodged within 48 hours. We will review all APT’s and select the best 3 for the client. The client will then conduct interviews.
