SPOTTERS FEE–Consultant Gig #847–Sydney–Senior Manager–Technology

With the continued and growing investment in Product & Technology, you will be a true business partner and required to lean on your outstanding communication and relationship management skills to successfully partner and engage directly with senior stakeholders while providing valuable insights and analysis to help drive informed decisions. You will be responsible for reviewing, challenging, and reporting financial results within the Banking and Financial Services division.

You will be responsible for:

  • You will drive, design, and deliver targeted analysis that provides meaningful insights into the Technology cost base and its relationship with business performance
  • Leverage the toolset to deliver cost, consumption, and performance transparency to Technology heads and Banking and Financial Services business
  • Identify opportunities to optimise the Technology cost base and provide its cost/benefit impact to non-technology cost base
  • Be accountable for the integrity of the Technology cost base and allocation model within Banking and Financial Services
  • Support the Head of Product & Technology, COO, and Business Management team with commercial and financial modelling and analysis to support decision making
  • Be responsible to help drive and implement Finance process efficiencies and operational excellence.

Key Deliverables:

  • Pull diversified and inconsistent data together, pulling the data sets together to paint a coherent story around distribution performance and build a baseline for Performance Uplift.
  • Meshing different sources of data to provide a robust data model
  • Visual representation of data, trends, and issues

Skills and attributes for success:

  • As a confident and driven individual, your attention to detail and demonstrated communication skills will help provide the platform for you to tell the story behind the numbers.
  • To be successful, you will have a tertiary degree in Maths, Analytics, Commerce, or the like as well as completed your CA/CPA or equivalent. You will also have a minimum of 8+ years’ experience where you have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, an ability to interrogate data, and ultimately be responsible for delivering actionable insights to a range of stakeholders.
  • A background in finance or analytics from industries outside of financial services is entirely acceptable for this role. Experience working in a Technology organisation is preferred.
  • Data Analytics experience
  • Outcome focused, team player
  • Financial Analyst (CFA pref) though experience in cost base, identifying and driving outcomes is preferable
  • Good understanding of cost drivers
  • Proven partnering experience with senior leaders
  • Modelling, analytics skills are preferable

Logistics:

Start: Immediate start, duration: 6 months

Location: Sydney – Australia based

Rates: The daily rate to the consultant will be based on experience for the right professional, and final client negotiations and is expected to be approximately $1,300 + GST.
