Our client is developing a major manufacturing plant with significant manufacturing of the processing equipment taking place offshore in North America. Due to Covid travel restrictions it has been impractical for the client’s engineers and project managers to visit the equipment manufacturer to audit project progress and quality assurance systems. With equipment supply and plant construction tightly linked adherence to the project plan including shipping schedules and commissioning is critical in the early phases, and a plant life of 50 years dictates high quality assurance for the long haul.
ICG has been able to identify a qualified professional engineer in the overseas location who is qualified to carry out the required audit investigations and report to the client, enabling board compliance for this significant capital spend and capacity expansion.
